Abby started preschool at Honolulu Christian
STORIES:
On the first day of school, I was told by a teacher that Abby was playing and a kid was in the way of where she wanted to pass. Abby says, "Excuse me," but the kid doesn't move. She pushes him. The teacher tells Abby, "You cannot just push other kids, ok?" Abby responds, "But I said excuse me." (omg).
She has a great teacher and a great aide in her class. Her aide is from Japan and has an accent. The aide comments to Abby, "Wow! You have nice Dola on your clothes!" Abby hears the Japanese "l" instead of the "r" sound and says, "Aunty, it's not Dola! It's DoRa!" (embaressing again)
In school they sing several songs for grace and now Abby loves to pray before we eat at home. Once she started to pray and said, "Gother Fod... Oh, wait. It's not Gother Fod... I mean, Father God..." (hahahaa)
I think because we have Asa, she copies a lot of the "mother-things." A kid in her class was crying. Abby went to them and said, "It's ok. Don't cry. It's ok." She grabbed their hand and was swinging hands together. Then a toy caught her eye and she immedietly abandoned her friend in need :)
She seems to really have picked up a lot quickly in school and enjoys talking about what she learns. In the car while I was driving, she says things like, "Mommy, say August!"
