Japan Mission Trip to Mito Baptist

(Spring Break)

Took nursing home patients for a stroll around the park.

It was nice for them just to be outside, and it was a treat to see "cherry blossom trees."

(Actually they are look alikes.  They're really almond trees.  Still beautiful tho!)

Stopped for a picnic and kids performed a sign dance to 

"Oh no, You never Let Go."

The elderly really are drawn to kids and they brought many smiles :)

Passed through Fukushima and prayed for the families who experienced loss after the tsunami.

This green bags are all the dirt that is packed away due to high radiation exposure.

The town is pretty deserted.

We came to eat at a small oyster shop in Sendai to support the small businesses

along the coast.  Slowly they are attempting to rebuild their city that was wiped out.

One of the kid's most favorite things in Japan was the vending machines!

They sell cold AND hot drinks!

Train station!  First time riding a real train!

And.. we got to spend a day at Disney Sea!

Everything is sea themed, including their restaurants... decor and menu

These girls asked to take a picture with Abby.  Of course she loved it!

I love the soap and water dispensers.  

Super sanitary.. no need to touch at all.  Hot & cold water.

Japan is great

Going to Disney Sea is March is madness.

School is out and herds of kids literally run to rides.  

This sign does not work.

The yen was 120, so everything was a deal at the mall.

Their erasable pens are always winners.  The dollar store was also awesome.
